Send a Task to Your Calendar
Send to Calendar puts a task on your Google Calendar or Outlook calendar as a timed event. You choose when it starts and how long it takes. Your 1-3-5 plan and your meetings then sit in one place, so you can see whether the day fits.
Send a Task
It works from the Task Outliner and the Daily Board.
- Click the task's menu (⋯).
- Click 📅 Send to Calendar.
- Check the date, start time and minutes.
- Click Google Calendar, Outlook or Download .ics.
What is filled in for you
- Date: the day the task is scheduled for, or today
- Start: the next half hour
- Minutes: the task's estimated time, or 30
- Title and notes: copied from the task
Google Calendar
- Click Google Calendar. Google Calendar opens in a new tab with the event filled in.
- Change anything you want, such as the calendar or a reminder.
- Click Save.
Outlook
- Click Outlook. Outlook on the web opens with the event filled in.
- Sign in with your work or school account if asked.
- Click Save.
Download .ics (Apple Calendar, Outlook desktop, work computers)
An .ics file is a calendar event that any calendar app can open.
- Click Download .ics. The file is named after the task.
- Open the file. Your calendar app offers to add the event.
Work computer: If your work calendar can't reach PlanItNine, email the .ics file to your work address. Open the attachment in Outlook on the work computer and it adds the event.
Good to Know
- The event is a copy. Changing or completing the task in PlanItNine does not change the calendar event.
- Sending the same task twice creates two events.
- PlanItNine does not connect to your calendar account and cannot read it.
